FT Nanny Needed for Preschooler and Baby in Lincoln Park, to begin Mid May
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
$850-$1,100/week; paid holidays and vacation. Occasional nights and weekends, if possible.
Preschooler attends preschool three mornings a week, and has additional activities (it is possible to bring the baby along to these activities as well).
Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. A car will be provided for use on the job. Parking will be provided for the nanny's car.
The ideal candidate has long term verifiable experience with infants on up; has experience dealing with two or more children; prompt; dependable; reliable. Should have excellent spoken and written English, and be able to communicate well with parents and teachers. Nanny should have both the knowledge and the desire to provide physically engaging activities, as well as educational activities for both children. Parents would like the nanny to be with the family for a long time, and for the nanny to be a partner in raising their children.
Nanny should be CPR certified, or willing to take the necessary classes necessary to obtain certification.
Responsibilities include all care of both children: feeding; changing; bathing, if needed; naps. For the baby, tummy time. For both children, reading and singing with the children; engaging in age appropriate fun, yet educational, activities; play dates. Will safely transport the children to and from activities, and engage with them during these activities. Will drop off and pick up preschooler at school. Preparation of food and snacks for the children.
Additional responsibilities include washing bottles and dishes; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming floors, if needed. Additionally, children's laundry and bedding. Keeping children's toys, etc., picked up; keeping their rooms tidy. Keeping common areas of the house picked up and tidy. Occasionally, run errands as needed.
