FT Nanny/House Manager Needed for Two School Age Children in Lincoln Park, to begin as soon as possible.

  • Two children school aged children.
  • Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week; hours will increase in the summer. Occasionally, a late night may be needed if parents have a work event. Optional weekend hours if nanny is available and desires extra hours.
  • $55,000-$65,000/annually, depending on experience. Health insurance stipend, if desired. Paid vacation; paid holidays and paid sick/personal days.
  • Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. A car will be provided for on the job responsibilities. Parking is available for the nanny's car.
  • Family has one hypoallergenic dog, there is no care required of the dog.
  • The ideal candidate is highly experienced with verifiable work references. Interested in a long term position, and becoming a part of a loving family. Passionate about education and child development. Able to build a rapport with the children. Proactive; highly organized; time management skills. Observant to the family's needs. Professional presentation; great personality. Able to handle many responsibilities. Discreet; respect owner's privacy. Active, fit, models a healthy lifestyle. Creative, positive, nurturing. Detail oriented, organized, able to multi task. Should be understanding and able to assist with day to day functioning of a busy household. Able to take direction, and yet able to make decisions, as needed. Excellent communication skills--superior written and spoken English. Should know how to prepare healthy, appetizing meals for children and family in general. Team player; hard working. Nanny  should be flexible and able to maintain the schedule. Devoted to the family.
  • Responsible for all care of the children: taking them to and from school, play dates and activities; overseeing homework; reading books with children; communicating with parents regarding the needs of the children. Managing household schedule and calendars. Plan weekly meals and prepare dinner two to three time per week. Walk though household and notice anything that might need attention or to be fixed. Filing household documents and important papers.
  • Additional responsibilities include errands, e.g. grocery shopping; home supplies, returns. Meal preparation. House projects, such as replacing lights, and anything that needs attention. Organizing the schedule and overseeing cleaning staff. Go through children's closets and remove any clothing that is too small; transitioning seasonal clothes. Maintain supplies for refrigerator, pantry; school and activity supplies. Ensure that vehicle is properly maintained. Keep service records. Registering children for activities, camps, planning play dates and outings.
