FT Nanny/House Manager Needed for Three Children in Naperville, to begin as soon as possible

  • Three children, one in school; a preschooler; and a toddler.
  • Salary commensurate with experience, but approximately $21-$25/hour DOE. Paid holidays and vacation.
  • Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. There may be times when nanny will need to stay later. Flexibility is of the utmost importance.
  • Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. For on the job responsibilities, a car will be provided. Parking will be provided for the nanny's car.
  • Mother is home. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
  • Nanny should be trustworthy, discreet, punctual, reliable. Warm and nurturing. Family desires that nanny become a part of the family and be with the family for a long time. Organized; active; fit. Able to multi task. Extremely proactive; able to see what needs to be done and complete it without supervision. Nanny should be able and comfortable following the routine of the household, but should be confident enough to make decisions on her own, if needed.
  • Nanny should have verifiable, long term experience with multiple children from infancy on up. Additional experience as a nanny manager/house manager is also necessary. A background in nursing; early childhood education; psychology, etc. is highly desirable. 
  • Nanny should be kind and loving, and genuinely love her/his job. She/he should be compassionate, kind, and giving.
  • Nanny/house manager will be responsible for all aspects of child care and household management. Helping children get ready in the morning; feeding them meals and snacks; taking them to school and other activities/play dates; providing educational, yet fun activities for both inside and outside play. Helping older child with any homework or school projects.
  • Nanny/house manager will be responsible for preparing dinner and feeding the children; helping with bathing and bedtime routine.
  • Grocery shopping; making a menu plan; running errands; making sure household maintenance is completed. Light cleaning: washing dishes; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen counters and surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming floors as needed. Family laundry and bedding; Keeping children's bedrooms tidy and picked up. Additionally, nanny/house manager will make lists of what is needed in terms of groceries; household supplies; necessary items for the children and their activities/school projects. Nanny should be willing and able to do anything needed for the smooth running of a happy household.
