Full Time Nanny Needed for Two Children in Forest Park, to begin immediately
Two children, a preschooler and an infant
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; family can be very flexible with the hours based on needs of the applicant.
$16-$18/hour; paid holidays, sick/personal, and vacation.
Start date is no later than July 5th.
It is strongly preferred that if the nanny is familiar with at least one of the following philosophies RIE/Montessori/Attachment Parenting/Waldorf philosophies. The ideal candidate acknowledges and empathizes with the child(ren)'s feelings and emotions.
Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. Nanny should be able to supply a vehicle for on the job use.
Family has a cat. Nanny should like cats and not have allergies.
Nanny should be prompt; dependable and punctual. Nanny should be interested in a long term position with a loving family. Nanny should be fit and active and enjoy actively interacting with the children. Nanny should have verifiable references with infants on up.
Responsibilities include all care of the children: feeding; changing; reading to the children; singing to the children; going to the playground; story times at local libraries. As older child grows, he/she may be enrolled in a class or activity. Naps are important--nanny should be able to help children go to sleep in a gentle and kind way.
Additional responsibilities light housekeeping and children's laundry.
Both parents work from home on occasion.
