PT After School Nanny for Two Children in River Forest, to begin late August
Monday through Thursday, 2:00-6:00/6:30 p.m.; Friday, 3:00-5:00 p.m. Ideally the nanny is available for late nights, school holidays, and sick days, if possible. This is a year round position.
$15-$20/hour; paid holidays and vacation.
Two children, both in middle school with activities.
Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. Ideally, the nanny should be able to provide a clean, safe, serviceable vehicle with proof of insurance, and room for at least two children. Parking is available for the nanny's car.
Family has a large, friendly dog. Nanny should like dogs, and not have allergies. No extraordinary care is necessary for the dog, possibly help walk the dog with the kids. One parent works from home on occasion. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Nanny should be prompt; reliable and trustworthy. Organized and tidy. Happy; athletic and active; energetic. Able to keep up with the demands of a busy household. Proactive; able to plan, organize and multi task with minimal supervision. Nanny should have excellent written and spoken English.
Responsibilities include supervising and helping with all homework, help keep children organized; and regularly check online for updates on school assignments. Supervise and plan children's activities, and transport the children to and from play dates and sports activities.
Light housekeeping: loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming any messes; children's laundry and bedding; helping to keep all common areas of the house tidy, paying special attention to children's rooms and play areas. Cleaning up kitchen after meals.
