PT Nanny Manager Needed for One Child in Winnetka, to begin in late August

  • One child in elementary school, with activities.
  • $18-$20/hour; paid holidays, sick/personal days, and vacation.
  • 18-23 hours per week depending on the needs of the applicant. Monday- Friday between the hours of 12-5:30 pm. Schedule to be determined, and is flexible. Responsibilities include child care and household management, which should occur when child is at school. 
  • When both parents occasionally travel, nanny will be expected to spend the night with the child. If one parent travels, it would be appreciated if nanny could come early to help get the child ready for school.
  • Nanny should drive and have a verifiable safe driving record. Nanny should supply a vehicle for on the job use. Parking is available for the nanny's car.
  • Family has a large, very friendly dog. He is a certified pet therapy dog. Nanny should like dogs and not have allergies. Nanny should be willing to walk dog; let dog out as needed; and make sure dog has enough food and water.
  • One parent works from home. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
  • The ideal candidate should have verifiable, long term experience with families, and be looking for a permanent long term arrangement. Nanny should ideally have a background in education or other related field.
  • Prompt; dependable; reliable. Proactive; willing to be flexible. Nanny should be active and able to keep up with the demands of a busy household. VERY reliable and organized. Nanny should be able to strike a balance between play, and be able to provide educational activities so that the child learns new skills. Nanny should actively engage with the child. Screen time should be kept to a minimum, and approved by parents.
  • Childcare responsibilities include picking up child from school and taking child to any activities or play dates; providing an afternoon snack; help with homework; plan and execute fun yet educational activities; host play dates as needed. Additionally, taking child to any appointments. Also, nanny will be expected to keep a daily log of child's activities in detail.
  • Household responsibilities include light housekeeping pertaining to the child and child's laundry.
