FT Nanny Needed for Two Children in Hinsdale, to begin immediately
Two children, a preschooler and a toddler. Preschooler attends school three days a week
$650-$1000/week; paid holidays and benefits.
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; some flexibility might be needed. Guaranteed hours per week.
Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. Nanny should have a safe, serviceable vehicle with proof of insurance and room for two car seats. Parking is available for the nanny's car.
Family has a small dog. Nanny should like dogs and not have allergies. Minimal care for dog required.
Nanny should have extensive verifiable experience working with toddlers on up; punctual; reliable. Nanny should be interested in a long term position with the family. Active and interested in being outdoors with the children. Ideally, some college, preferably in early childhood education; psychology; nursing, or other related field. Has creative ideas regarding fun, yet educational activities for both children, indoors and outside. Loving, caring, nurturing.
In addition to regular child care, responsibilities include driving preschooler to and from preschool; preparing healthy lunches and snacks; encouraging and participating in play time; keep a daily log of all activities; naps; changing; bathing, as needed.
Additional responsibilities include letting dog out for bathroom breaks; ensuring that dog has water. Washing dishes, etc., loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming up any messes, as needed; children's laundry and bedding; keeping children's rooms and common areas of the house tidy and picked up. During nap time, plan activities for children, such as play dates, museum, zoo, etc.
Keep track of family schedule and a running list of any supplies needed for school or projects.
