PT Two Day a Week Nanny Needed for Preschooler in Evanston, to begin immediately
One preschooler, attends preschool, with activities.
Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; hours are more flexible during the summer and in December. Additional hours are available, if desired.
$18-$20/hour; paid holidays and vacation
Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. A car is provided for on the job transportation. Parking is available for the nanny's car.
One parent works from home. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Family has two cats. Nanny should like cats, and not have allergies.
The ideal candidate has verifiable long term experience with infants on up; be prompt; reliable and dependable. Nanny should be active and able to keep up with a busy preschooler, and yet demonstrate maturity. Should be proactive, and yet be able to follow the schedule and household rules. Should have ideas for fun, yet educational activities for both inside and outdoors. Child particularly likes imaginative play. Nanny should actively engage with the child
Responsibilities include helping child get dressed, fed and ready for school. Pick up child from school; bring child home for lunch; settling down for a nap; taking child to activities in the afternoon.
Additional responsibilities include washing dishes; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming up, as needed. Child's laundry and bedding. Keeping child's room and common areas of the house tidy and picked up. It would be helpful if nanny could also do some preparation for dinner, but this is not necessarily required.
