FT Nanny Needed for Two School Aged Children in Near West Suburbs, to begin in September
Oak Park/River Forest family is seeking a lovely nanny for their two school aged children who are in elementary school part time.
Monday through Friday, guaranteed 50 hours/week. Flexibility is needed in the evenings.
$800-$1150/week; paid holidays, vacations and sick days.
One parent works from home occasionally. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Nanny should drive and have a verifiable safe driving record. Family supplies a car for on the job transportation needs. Parking is available for the nanny's car.
Prompt; dependable; responsible. Proactive and a self starter, but also willing to adapt to the routines, etc. of the household. Active and able to keep up with two busy children. Positive and energetic. Comfortable driving in Chicago traffic for activities. Values learning; provides new, fun, yet educational activities for the children. Good written and spoken English. Should be supportive of the values, routines, etc. of the household, and be willing to be a partner with the parents in the day to day lives of the children.
Responsibilities include all care of the children. Meeting the children's social, emotional and developmental needs. Transporting the children to and from school, appointments and classes, including some activities in Chicago. Preparing meals and snacks for children.
Additional responsibilities include washing dishes; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming, if needed. Children's laundry. Grocery shopping and running errands while children are in school. Keeping children's rooms and common areas of the household tidy and picked up.
