FT Nanny Needed for baby in West Town Chicago, to begin in April - Job Code 1052
One baby, no special needs.
$950-$1050/wk; plus paid vacation, PTO/sick days, and holidays.
50 hrs/week guaranteed. Schedule Monday 9 am - 5:30 pm, Tuesday/Wednesday 7 am - 6 pm, Thursday 7:30 am - 7 pm, Friday 9 am - 5 pm.
There may be up to two times a year that the family will need the applicant to come early (7 am Monday-Friday) for two weeks at a time (four weeks total for the year). The family will let the applicant know in advance which weeks.
Driving is nice but not required. If nanny drives, he/she should have a safe driving record. Parking is available for the nanny's car.
One parent may work from home. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
One small size dog. Friendly. Dog has a dog walker. Nanny should like dogs and not have allergies. No extraordinary care if required of the dog.
Nanny should have verifiable long term experience working with children of all ages, and desire working with a loving family for a long time. Ideally, higher education in early childhood education or related field. King, loving, warm. Dependable, prompt, caring. Proactive and able to keep up with a busy family.
Responsibilities include all care of the baby: feeding; changing; naps; baths if needed. Reading to the baby; singing to the baby. Tummy time. Weather permitting, nanny will take baby to library; museums; playgrounds, etc. The Art Institute and the Museum of Science and Industry. As baby grows, nanny's responsibilities will change.
Additional responsibilities include washing bottles and dishes; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming as needed. Keeping child's belongings clean. Child's laundry and bedding. Keeping child's room neat, as well as common areas of the house.
