PT Nanny Needed for Infant on West Side of Chicago, to begin in late September - Job Code 1062
30 hrs/week guaranteed. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8 am - 6 pm.
Mother will be working from home, and will continue to breastfeed and be able to assist as needed. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. A car would be provided for use on the job. Parking is available for the nanny's car.
Family has a small hypoallergenic dog. Dog is friendly. Nanny should like dogs and not have allergies.
Nanny should have verifiable references and be interested in a long term position. Patient; kind; trustworthy; organized; fun; creative; and interested in educating the baby. Active and able to keep up with a busy household. Excellent spoken and written English; a second language is desirable. Active and able to keep up with the demands of a busy household.
Responsibilities include all care of the child: helping to feed baby; changing; naps; bathing, if needed; reading to the child; singing to the child. As child grows, the scope of the nanny's responsibilities will change. Nanny should be open to setting up play dates and finding classes in the area for the child. Family anticipates having more children; nanny should have verifiable experience with multiples. Weather permitting, nanny will take child for walks, to the playground, etc.
Additional responsibilities include washing dishes; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming up any messes, if needed; go grocery shopping and run errands, e.g. go to the pharmacy, dry cleaner, etc. Laundry and bedding. Light meal preparation and cooking. Light housework, e.g. keeping child's room and common areas of the household tidy and picked up.
