FT Nanny Needed for Infant on West Side of Chicago, to begin mid March, Job Code 1050
One infant, no special needs
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Family could offer extra hours on weeknights/weekends if applicant desires.
$750-$850/wk; paid vacation, holidays, and PTO/sick days.
Driving is not required. If nanny drives, nanny should have a safe driving record. Should nanny drive, family can provide a car for on the job use.
Family has a hypoallergenic dog. Nanny should like dogs and not have allergies. No care is needed for the dog.
The ideal candidate has verifiable, long term experience with infants on up, and be interested in a long term position with a loving family. Prompt; honest; reliable; dependable. Friendly; loving; nurturing. Nanny should be active and able to keep up with the demands of the position.
Responsibilities include all care of the child: feeding; changing; naps; bathing, if needed; singing to the child; reading to the child. Taking the child to the park and child friendly attractions/activities in the area, weather permitting. As the child grows, the scope of the nanny's responsibilities will naturally change. Nanny should be able to make this transition smoothly: helping to start solids; potty training; educational, yet fun activities designed to encourage optimal development.
Additional responsibilities include: washing bottles and dishes; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming up. Child's laundry and bedding. Keeping child's room and common areas of the household tidy and pick up. Nanny should be willing to take the initiative.
