Full Time Nanny for Two Children in Lincoln Park, to begin in February, Job Code: 1070
Two children, a preschooler and a toddler
50 hrs/week guaranteed. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; some flexibility may be needed.
$1050-$1150/week; plus paid vacation, holidays, and PTO/sick days.
Driving is not required. If nanny drives, she should have a safe driving record and proof of insurance. Parking can be arranged for the nanny's car.
The ideal candidate has a long term history of verifiable experience dealing with toddlers on up: completely professional; communicative; creative. Nanny should have a genuine love and passion for children. Dependable; prompt; reliable. Active and able to keep up with a busy family. Should be organized and willing to take the initiative, and help the family. Proactive. Should have a knowledge of fun, yet educational activities for the children, including inside activities and things to do out of doors. Should be willing to take the children for walks in the neighborhood, including parks and child friendly activities. Should be fun loving, yet able to maintain order.
Responsibilities include all care for the children, including taking the preschooler to school in the mornings, and then picking him/her around noon; preparing meals and snacks for the children; reading to the children; weather permitting, taking the children outside.
Additional activities include washing dishes; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming, if needed. Light grocery shopping, as needed. Light housekeeping, e.g. keeping children's rooms and common areas of the house tidy and picked up.
