Highly competitive compensation plus paid vacation and paid sick/personal days
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; occasional weekend and evening babysitting.
Travel with the family is nice, but not essential.
Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. Nanny should supply a safe, serviceable vehicle with proof of insurance and room for passengers/car seat. Parking is available.
Both parents occasionally work from home. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Family has two cats. Nanny should like animals and not have allergies. No extraordinary care is required of the cats, although nanny should refill cats' food and water dishes as needed.
The ideal candidate should have verifiable experience working with infants on up and be interested in a long term position with a loving family. Some childcare education is preferred. Prompt; dependable; reliable. Communicative; warm; good judgment; organized; pro active and calm, even in stressful situations.
Nanny must not smoke and come from a non smoking family.
Responsibilities include all child care: feeding (including food preparation); bathing; teeth brushing; dressing and transporting to out of the house activities, e.g. music and gym classes; play groups. Nanny should actively engage with the child. When the child is at home, nanny should have a knowledge of entertaining and educational activities, for both inside and out of doors. Child care and safety are always the first priority.
Additional responsibilities include: washing dishes; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming, if needed. Family laundry; grocery shopping; dry cleaning drop off/pick up. Nanny should have an eye for detail and be proactive.
