FT/PT Nanny Needed for An Infant in Lincoln Square, to begin mid April - JC 1078
One infant, no special needs
The position will start as part time while the parents are transitioning back to the office. Eventually, the hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. It may be necessary for the nanny to work evenings or weekends for work events or occasional date nights.
Travel with the family is desirable, but not required.
Driving is not required. If nanny drives, she should have a safe driving record.
Mother will be working at home initially, but will gradually transition back to working full time at the office.
Family has a nice, fluffy, friendly cat. No extraordinary care is required of the cat, although nanny should fill food and water dishes as needed.
The ideal candidate has verifiable experience with newborns on up, and understands the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of children of all ages. He/she should have experience bottle feeding expressed breast milk; loves children and wants to actively engage with children. Prompt, dependable. Active and able to keep up with the demands of a busy family. Communicative; patient; kind; attentive and focused on the child. Proactive with an eye for detail. Nanny should be available and communicate with the parents while on the job, but minimize screen time otherwise.
Responsibilities include all care of the child: feeding; changing; naps; bathing, if needed. Reading to the child; singing to the child; actively engaging with the child. Tummy time. Nanny should have a knowledge of entertaining, yet educational activities for both indoors and outside for infants on up.
Nanny should be looking for a long term position with a loving family.
Additional responsibilities include washing dishes; and bottles; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping/vacuuming if needed. Wiping down toys, etc. Laundry and bedding. Keeping kitchen and common areas of the house tidy and picked up.
