Key Responsibilities
Childcare Duties
- Pick up child from school (pickup begins at 5:30 PM).
- Drive to and from activities, appointments, and outings.
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care.
- Prepare and serve dinner.
- Support bath time and bedtime routines.
- Keep child engaged (reading, play, and learning activities).
- Prepare school items and clothing for the next day.
- Maintain organization of clothing and toys.
- Provide care during school closures or child illness.
Household Manager Duties
- Prepare simple meals or snacks for the family when needed.
- Handle family laundry and maintain general household tidiness.
- Manage grocery shopping, pantry inventory, and household supply restocking.
- Keep the kitchen tidy, including loading/unloading the dishwasher and maintaining organized shared spaces.
- Oversee packages, returns, and basic household errands.
- Coordinate occasionally with household vendors (such as cleaners or maintenance professionals).
- Maintain organization of toys, closets, and seasonal items.
- Let the family dog outside and provide occasional walks.
- Proactively identify household needs and upcoming tasks to keep the home running smoothly.
Requirements
- Experience caring for preschool-aged children, with confidence in evening routines.
- Strong organizational skills; proactive and dependable.
- Clear, thoughtful communication and a collaborative approach with parents are important.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for school pickup and activities (mileage reimbursed).
- Comfortable with dogs and occasional pet-related tasks.
- Comfortable with parents who WFH a few days per week.
- CPR certification required.
- Current Tdap vaccine required.
