Part-Time + Overnight Nanny – Park Ridge, IL

A warm Park Ridge family is seeking an energetic, reliable, and flexible nanny to care for their active 5-year-old child. This role offers 7–10 guaranteed hours per month, with the opportunity for full-time, in-home care during parent travel, including overnights. No travel required for the nanny.
Schedule

• 7–10 guaranteed hours per month 
• Guaranteed hours are flexible and may include evenings, weekends, or daytime hours when the child is home from school
• Parents travel approximately 20 times per year
  • 2 week-long trips
  • Remaining trips are typically weekends
• During travel, nanny provides full-time, in-home care, including overnights

Compensation

• $30–$35/hour DOE 
• Additional hours paid during travel periods
• Overnight Pay:
  • Nanny is paid hourly for all active care time
  • A sleep period may be unpaid when uninterrupted rest is provided in a private sleeping space
  • Any overnight care needs or interruptions are paid hourly

Responsibilities

• Engaged, hands-on care for a 5-year-old child
• School pick-up/drop-off and transportation to activities (when parents travel)
• Participate in play, outings, and age-appropriate activities
• Child-related duties:
  • Child’s laundry
  • Tidying child’s spaces
  • Meal prep for the child
  • Tidying the kitchen after meals
  • Bringing in packages

Requirements

• Energetic and able to keep up with an active child
• Comfortable providing overnight and week-long, in-home care
• Clean and safe driving record
• Confident driver; family car provided for all work-related driving
• Reliable, flexible, and communicative
