Occasional Evening/Weekend Babysitter - JC 0414 - Lake Shore East

Job Title: 📢 Exceptional Occasional Babysitters Needed for Wonderful Lake Shore East Family 

✦ Schedule: Occasional evenings and/or weekend work (as needed) highly flexible depending on the needs of the nanny. 

💎Compensation: $30-$35 hr. DOE  

About Our Family: 

We are a warm, loving, and welcoming family in Chicago seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced babysitter to become a trusted part of our support team. We currently have a wonderful nanny and are looking to add a few amazing babysitters for occasional evenings and/or weekends.  Our 12-year-old child with special needs brings joy and light to our home, and we are looking for someone who shares our values of empathy, engagement, and care. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• 💖 Provide attentive, compassionate care and supervision tailored to our child’s unique needs.  
  • Babysitter should be comfortable communicating with a nonverbal child, assisting child while eating, and diapering /toileting help.  
• 🍲 Prepare and assist with child-friendly meals and snacks. 
• 🛏️ Follow and support an established bedtime routine, fostering comfort and security. 
• 🎮 Engage the child in meaningful, creative, and fun activities. 
• 🏡 Maintain a calm and structured environment to ensure a positive experience. 

Qualifications: 

• ✅ Prior experience working with children, including those with special needs, is required. 
• ✅ Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach. 
• ✅ Ability to follow routines while adapting to specific care requirements. 
• ✅ Strong communication skills to work closely with parents. 
• ✅ CPR and First Aid certification required. 
• ✅ Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
