Job Description: Mount Prospect family seeking a loving and experienced Nanny for their 2-year-old! This is a Temporary Position with the possibility of becoming a permanent position. February 10, 2025, to May 2025.

Compensation: $28/hour + vacation, holidays, and PTO.

Schedule: Guaranteed 50 hours a week. Monday-Friday, 7:40am-5:30pm/6:15pm (depending on parents work from home schedule).

Job Details and Responsibilities:

Primary care is for a 2-year-old.
Responsibilities include all care of the child: meal prep and making breakfast/lunch/dinner and snacks, monitoring and facilitating naps, developmentally appropriate play with the child, assisting with milestones, changing diapers, and bathing.
Light housekeeping includes keeping the child’s bedroom and play areas clean, tidying and organizing toys, cleaning child’s dishes, and child’s laundry.
Nanny should actively engage with the child in fun, yet developmental, activities, both inside and out of doors.
Both parents work from home two days a week in separate spaces. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Family is currently living in a rental apartment while home is being renovated—will be back in their home by end of March 2025.

Qualifications:

Nanny should have extensive verifiable experience working with toddlers. Should be knowledgeable of toddler care and safety.

Nanny should be warm and caring. Will be able to foster a positive relationship with the child and the family and work as a team.
Nanny should be self-sufficient. Will be able to plan activities and keep track of the child’s needs. Nanny should be pro-active about completing tasks.
Reliable and communicative. Able to communicate well and be receptive to feedback.
Driving is required for the role. Nanny should have a safe driving record and be able to use their own vehicle.
Flu vaccination preferred.
