Full-Time Nanny – Winnetka, IL

A Winnetka family with three young children, ages 4 years, 2 years, and 2 months, is seeking a warm, experienced, and dependable Nanny to join their household. The ideal candidate will be confident with infant care while also genuinely enjoying the energy and playfulness of older children. This family is looking for someone patient, nurturing, reliable, and easy to be around who will become a trusted part of their daily routine long-term.

Position Details
  • Location: Winnetka, IL
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 45 hours per week
  • Compensation: $28–$30/hour, DOE
  • Benefits: PTO offered
  • Ideal Start Date: September 21 for part-time overlap with the current nanny; full-time schedule beginning October 1. Family has some flexibility with the start date and schedule. 
  • Children: Ages 4 years, 2 years, and 2 months. Two older children attend school part-time.
  • Parking: Driveway parking provided
  • Pets: One cat in the home; no pet care required
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be offered but are not required
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for all three children, with strong knowledge and experience in infant care
  • Provide hands-on infant care, including preparing and washing bottles, feeding, diaper changes, and maintaining appropriate nap and feeding schedules
  • Support potty training when developmentally appropriate, using a positive and consistent approach
  • Engage the older children through age-appropriate play, activities, outings, and creative experiences
  • Match the older children’s energy and actively participate in play
  • Safely transport children to and from school, activities, playdates, and outings
  • Coordinate and schedule playdates and plan fun, age-appropriate activities
  • Complete children’s laundry and maintain organization of their clothing and belongings
  • Keep children’s bedrooms, play areas, and common spaces used throughout the day tidy and organized
  • Prepare children's meals and snacks
  • Communicate openly with parents and take direction and feedback well
Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced, warm, patient, and nurturing nanny
  • Excellent infant-care experience and a strong understanding of infant development, routines, and milestones
  • Energetic and engaging with toddlers and preschool-aged children
  • Reliable, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy household with three young children
  • Comfortable with a parent who works from home in a separate, dedicated office space
  • Able to take direction well and work collaboratively with parents
  • Proactive in planning activities, outings, and opportunities for socialization
  • Strong driving history with a safe, reliable personal vehicle for transporting the children
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Current Tdap vaccination and annual flu vaccination required
