Full Time Nanny Needed for newborn in Oak Park, to begin ASAP - JC 1184
One infant, no special needs.
Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. (guaranteed 60 hours).There is an option for Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. (4 days, 48 hours).
Position open to live-in or live-out.
$960 - $1,080/week.
Driving is a bonus, but not required. If nanny drives, she should have a safe driving record. Parking is available for the nanny's car
One parent may occasionally work from home. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
The ideal candidate should have verifiable experience working with infants on up, and be interested in a long term position with a loving family. Patient; dependable; prompt. Excellent written and spoken English. Proactive, with an eye for detail. Can complete his/her job with little or no supervision. Nanny should be familiar with developmental stages, and have a knowledge of fun, yet educational, activities, both inside and out of doors. Active and able to keep up with the demands of a busy family. Positive attitude; friendly.
Responsibilities include all care of the baby; feeding; changing; naps; bathing if needed. Reading to the child; singing to the child. Taking child for walks in the area, weather permitting. As child grows, nanny should be familiar with transitions, e.g. starting solids; potty training, etc. Nanny, together with the parents, will guide the child through these transitions. Nanny should obtain a knowledge of educational and fun activities in the area, and reach out to other families in the area for possible play groups, etc.
Additional responsibilities include rinsing dishes; loading and unloading the dishwasher; wiping down kitchen surfaces; sweeping or vacuuming, if needed. Child's laundry and bedding. Nanny will be responsible for keeping child's room/belongings and common areas of the house tidy and picked up. It would be nice if nanny could assist with meal preparation, e.g. cutting up vegetables, etc.
TDAP vaccine required.
